Eleanor Gwynn attributed to Francesco Bartolozzi after Peter Lely
Portrait of Nell Gwynn after Lely, within an oval; wearing a thin chemise draped low on her shoulders to reveal one breast, and holding a lamb and a wreath under her right arm; open-letter state. 1779-1802, this state 1802 ... with the false identification to Bartolozzi.

This is a very scarce engraving. The auction records do not show any instance of this engraving being sold. I can find no other example extant. The B.M. have two copies of the 1890 coloured reprint. The NPG have an 1802 example bearing the John Ogborne attribution.
On very thin laid paper pasted to a board. The plate mark has 'printed through'. Please examine additional images for imperfections. The mount covers these areas.
