Well, I'm finding that (a bit) with my web site selling off my art collection.
I've got art to suit virtualy every taste. And yes ...I've sold works to China, Australia and (mostly) the U.K.
But ... considering the prices I'm asking (about one third of dealers' prices) the response has been very low. I have a conversion rate of about 50% from the enquiries on my contact form.
I understand that people may be nervous buying art over the internet; But I offer a no quibble return policy and the considerable security offered to purchasers by accepting Paypal. So far my purchaser's have been very happy with the art and packaging.
One of the biggest problems is people actually finding my website. I get about 10 hits a day. For the moment I'm trying Google Adwords which has increased the hit rate by five a day ... but at £1.20p a hit and no enquiries very expensive. (Well at least it would be if it wasn't a free trial offered by Google!).
Have a look at my site ...see if there is anything you like.
If you have any ideas on promoting the site ...I'm interested!
I will get back on here with some details of some of the art I'm offering.
